Late Summer Events in Lone Tree

The days are getting shorter and school is starting, but summer isn’t over yet! Make the most of the season by taking advantage of these upcoming community events in Lone Tree.

  • Take a guided tour of Schweiger Ranch to learn more about this protected historic landmark, once a working homestead founded by Austrian brothers who serve as its namesake. The guided event also provides information about current renovations to the barn, historic farmhouse, and other structural improvements on the estate (August 27, 1:00-3:00 p.m.).

  • Get your Om on at Yoga in the Park. Sunset salutations from 6:30-7:30 p.m. take place at Belvedere Park. No yoga experience is necessary, and there’s no need to register. Just drop by with your mat and enjoy the summer evening in Lone Tree (August 29th).

  • How about some late summer pool time for your pooch? The annual Wag-n-Romp at Cook Creek Pool provides free splash time (and treats!) for dogs, as well as a variety of pet supplies and vendor booths. Competitions will be held for best swimmer, loudest bark, and best dressed (September 9th, 10:00-2:00).

  • The 16th Annual Lone Tree Art Expo will run from September 28-November 28 at the Lone Tree Art Center. As summer segues into fall, peruse a wide variety of local art on display, kicking off with an opening cocktail reception on September 29th. Interested in showcasing a piece of your own? Applications are accepted until September 5th!

  • In addition to enjoying some of Lone Tree’s late summer activities, Heritage Hills residents can take advantage of a variety of restaurant and shopping options in their own backyard. Summer continues at Heritage Hills with full access to so many active community options: tennis courts, two junior-size Olympic pools, a soccer field, and plenty of parks nearby.
